More about Amanda D...
I love how photography allows us to freeze a moment in time to be cherished forever. I love being a vessel to show people their true beauty, as seen from a perspective outside their own. Authenticity is my middle name--I love to capture real moments shared between people who love each other. I strive to encapsulate the real feeling, emotion and personality of every person who stands before my lens. I work to tell a story with my images, to earnestly know the people I am photographing, and to create images that reflect who they are.
I have done shoots of all kinds--weddings, families, maternity, newborns, graduates, head shots, cake smashes, and so many more. I like to be in close contact with my clients beforehand so we can prepare and anticipate any needs that may arise. Instead of worrying about the clock, I do my best to make people feel comfortable in front of my camera, even if it takes extra time and a few corny jokes.
I have been featured by several blogs and social media accounts and recently interviewed and featured in Voyage LA Magazine. I am a proud member of the Long Beach chapter of the Rising Tide Society.
In high school I was the school's mascot--Wilma the Wolverine! I'm a former barista and every morning I'm honing my latte art. I love the clean smell of bleach and would have it as an air freshener in my home if my husband would allow it. I'm a modern day cat lady with 2 little fur babies. I enjoy classic rock, Bikram yoga, and cooking dinners from old family recipes.
